Fine Tuned Performance and Rehabilitation was created to serve individuals who want to go above and beyond their goals for functional living and performance in the gym, on the field, or in daily life. You’ll always be guaranteed 1-on-1 time with a doctor of physical therapy for your session. We are an out-of-network provider. This means no surprise insurance bills. No third-party dictating care or what type of treatment you're allowed to receive. Dr. Bobby Hines, PT, DPT, ATC
CF-L2, USAW Sport Performance Coach, Cert DN

Having always had a passion for athletics, Bobby received his undergraduate degree in Athletic Training while working for the sports medicine department at the University of Georgia. While in school, he worked with UGA Football, Swim & Dive, Track & Field, Equestrian, and served as an all-sports intern helping to keep athletes healthy and competing at their highest level. After leaving UGA, Bobby received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of North Georgia where he served in a leadership role as Co-President of his class.Although working in collegiate athletics was a fulfilling season, Bobby has turned a personal passion into a career through evaluation and treatment of CrossFit Athletes. Relying on ten years of CrossFit experience as a coach and competitor, Bobby has endeavored not only to compete at a high level (2x Wodapalooza competitor and maintaining a top 1% global CF open ranking), but to coach and evaluate with excellence as well. He currently holds his certifications as a CrossFit Level 2 Trainer, USAW Sport Performance Coach, and has participated in the Institute of Clinical Excellence’s Management of the Fitness Athlete curriculum. Whether it be performance in the gym, on the field or court, or simply in daily life, Bobby will have the tools necessary to help you excel in reaching your goals.

Dr. Heather Houchin, PT, DPT, Cert-DN

A native of southeastern Ohio, Heather received her undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology followed by a doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. She now calls Georgia home and is looking to make a positive impact on those seeking a lifetime of health and wellness.As a former collegiate athlete (softball) and current CrossFitter, she understands the mental and physical demands of being an athlete from both a participant and a clinician’s perspective. She strives to evaluate and treat her patients with the utmost care and respect, utilizing a holistic approach (i.e. considering physical impairments as well as sleep, nutrition, stress, and more) to achieve any specific treatment goals, but most importantly goals set forth by YOU.Heather holds multiple certifications that make her a well-rounded clinician prepared to help you exceed your goals. Some of these certifications include dry needling (level II), the McKenzie method for the diagnosis and treatment of neck and low back pain (level II), and is currently in process of completing certification in pelvic floor physical therapy through the institute of clinical excellence. Rest assured, she is committed to excellence and providing outstanding care to keep you aligned with any lifestyle or fitness goals you may have.

Services Provided

Evaluation and Movement Prescription

Each initial visit will incorporate a thorough evaluation and assessment of your injury or ailment as well as an exercise/mobility prescription. Each visit provides you with an hour of 1-on-1 time to appropriately identify, treat, and plan out a route towards meeting your specific goals or eliminating your pain. Depending on your goals, this may also incorporate video analysis or biomechanical assessment of specific movements to help further hone in on the optimum treatment plan for you.

Dry Needling

When appropriate, dry needling may be used as a tool to help alleviate soreness, improve blood flow to affected tissues, and release tension within musculature to help alleviate pain and improve motion.

Myofascial Decompression (Cupping)

In order to help improve blood flow and mobility to affected areas, dynamic cupping techniques may be utilized to improve your pain levels and aid in recovery specific to deep layers of muscle and fascia.

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization

I.A.S.T.M. may be used to aid in recovery and improve mobility in point specific areas determined through evaluation of your functional mobility.

Spinal Manipulation

With appropriate screening and intervention, spinal manipulation (also known as “adjustment”) can facilitate decreased pain levels, improved range of motion, and overall increased function specific to the area you need.

Vestibular Rehabilitation

Although not as specific to performance based rehabilitation as some of the other services listed, we offer rehabilitation for those suffering from Vertigo, BPPV, Vestibular Neuritis, Vestibular Hypofunction, and other associated inner-ear dysfunction. This includes specific positional evaluation, screening, and when appropriate - maneuvers that can help alleviate or eliminate your dizziness.
